Dr. Sharp graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He and his wife Paula live in Plano. They have a married daughter who is a physician in Houston and a son who recently finished college and is starting graduate school. They have added a new pet companion to the family, a Doberman named Ruby. She is a very active dog and brings them great pleasure. “Gran’kitty” Gabby visits frequently and adds to the fun.
Dr. Sharp is an avid walker and enjoys outdoor activities and sports. Clinically, one of his main passions is continuing education which is essential in the constantly expanding profession of veterinary medicine. The Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice has strict requirements to help keep veterinarians up to date on discoveries and new ideas in veterinary medicine. Other interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.
Dr. Sharp is also proud of Animal Medical Centers’ continuing Accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association.The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. AAHA-accredited hospitals voluntarily choose to be evaluated on more than 800 standards in the following areas: quality of care; diagnostic & pharmacy; management; medical records; and facility. This way the clients and patients of Animal Medical Center of Plano can be assured they are receiving the best possible care using the latest procedures and technology.
